(Boulder, CO) –June 1, 2008. Goddess Garden announces the introduction of 70 percent organic Lavender Mint and Shea Butter sunscreen. Lavender Mint sunscreen is made with pure French lavender and peppermint essential oils while the Shea Butter sunscreen is unscented.

Goddess Garden sunscreens are made with 70% certified organic ingredients including organic jojoba oil and apricot kernel oil. Fair trade shea butter is integral ingredient in both products and prized for its moisturizing and emollient properties. Shea nuts harvested by members of the Agbanga Karite Women’s Cooperative in Togo, Africa are collected ,harvested and processed into shea nut butter with the help of the Fair Trade Federation and the Africa Fair Trade Council to assist the women’s co-op in selling their shea butter while earning a living wage.

Lavender Mint and Shea Butter sunscreens are mineral-based sun blocks utilizing micronized zinc oxide which is known for its ability to immediately and effectively block harmful ultraviolet radiation.
